You can also give instructions to individual players
as to how you wish them to play the next match. If you
click on the actual shirt you can move through the three
options for the players 'attitude'. You can instruct
players to push forward whenever possible, to play
normally, or to hold back and play more defensively.

|
Instructing a player to push forward will have
slightly different meaning depending on which
position the player is in. For defenders this
would indicate that they should move forward to
support the midfield and beyond to attach if
the opportunity presents itself.
|
For midfielders it would indicate that they
should support the attack, moving forward whenever
possible. For attackers it would indicate that
they play all out attack and that they should
not drop back to midfield in search of possession.
|
Again, instructing a player to hold back will have
slightly different meaning depending on which
position the player is in. For defenders this
would indicate that they should not move forward
when your team is attacking, but instead retain
a defensive position at all times.
|
|
For midfielders it would indicate that they should
drop back to support the defence and for attackers
to drop back and support the midfield.
The default option with no arrows showing
indicates that the player should rely on his own
judgement as to when he moves forward or holds back.
Note, using the attitude options may result in
players covering more ground than they otherwise
might during a game and this should be considered
if the player is not as fully fit as he could be.
