Though players do improve as you get results through the season, the quickest
way to improve your squad is to dip into the transfer market and buy new players.

There are two types of players you can buy. Players from other managers in the game or
non-league players, which are generated by the system to introduce new blood into the game.
To make a bid for a player navigate to his details page and enter the amount you wish
to offer in the box provide and click on 'Make Bid'.
If you are bidding for a player which belongs to another manager you can offer one
of your own players as part of the deal. To do this simply select the name of the
player you wish to offer from the drop down list.
If the player you are bidding for is owned by another manager in the game then you will have to wait until
he logs in and responds to the offer by either accepting or rejecting it.

Check the date the manager last logged in on his teams page at the top. This
will give you an indication of how often he checks his team. Someone who has not logged in
for over a week might take sometime to respond to your bid.

Bids for all non-league players are dealt with on Sundays at 15:00 GMT. The manager with
the highest bid for a non-league player is successful and will get him.
All other teams bidding for the player will receive a message on their
home page saying they were unsuccessful.
