What with two league matches a week, possibly two friendlies, a Premier
Cup match and a domestic cup match your pitch could
be taking quite a battering. Six games a week is bound to take a toll.
You will therefore need to keep an eye on the quality of your pitch.
You'll see it on the stadium page of every team. It will range
between 1 and a 100 though there will be five distinct categories.

So, what effect does the pitch quality have on the game?
Passing
If you want to play a passing game, you really need to be playing
on the best pitches. Trying to pass the ball on a soggy, bumpy pitch
is going to be difficult.
If you do favour a passing game you will notice a boost in the
amount of possession you enjoy during a match if you are playing
on a good pitch. If it is a bad pitch, then your possession may
be down slightly. So, if you are playing away to a team on a
poor pitch you might want to consider your passing strategy.
Therefore, if you are playing better teams who are passing you off
the pitch, then perhaps allowing your pitch to deteriorate slightly
may not be a bad idea.
